Modern Shelter is a Sag Harbor-based practice founded by married partners Heidi and Grayson Jordan, who have over 20 years experience designing custom residences. We are a modern architecture firm with diverse avenues of exploration. Among other things, we explore the intersection of traditional New England building forms with modern details and space planning. We employ natural materials in an understated aesthetic guided by one principle: Simplify. Great architecture transcends stylistic labels. Well-versed in modern and traditional building typologies, we believe a successful building creates a variety of experiences, enhancing the life of its occupant.
